This page looks at what some of clients and other healthcare professionals think of TheFootNurse. If you want to leave us a review, you can do that here.
When we see a client, we are careful to consider their overall health with a focus on foot-related issues. The priority may be continued mobility, comfort, or just feeling good, but we never look at anyone as just routine.
For some of our more mature clients, this is particularly important as serious problems may not be obvious to them or their carers at first. See below what our clients and others have to say and some examples of types of care we provide.
Reviews
“Very professional and knows what she’s doing recommend her to anybody lovely lady very helpful.” – Facebook review from a client.
“I was getting some knee trouble which a physio said was linked to the way I was walking. I visited the Foot Nurse and she video-ed how I walk in slow motion and worked out how to use an orthotic (insole) to correct things a bit. …Amazing knowledge.” – Google Maps review from a client.
“I have been getting care of my feet from Vida Bonell since I moved to Guildford in September 2017.
I am 83 years old and find regular foot care is now essential as I have severe athletes foot and find
self care increasingly difficult. Vida provides a very professional service which I have no hesitation in
recommending to others.” – Yell review from a client
“I was really happy with my first visit – all my foot issues were treated in a relaxed and professional way…will definitely be a regular” – Yell review from a client
“…very kind, patient and practical. I saw her at the local surgery and she helped with the removal of an exceptionally large verruca and callus on the ball of my foot which had become painful and was causing me difficulty with walking, knee pain etc. She persevered and the verruca and callus have virtually gone and there is no more pain. She was very professional and knowledgeable” – Yell review from a client
Examples of Care
In one case we visited a gentleman at home. Although his carer had tried to have some issues looked at by district nurses, a series of missed phone calls had meant this had not happened. We immediately realised that the gentleman needed urgent medical care of his legs and feet and arranged a same day visit by district nurses.
On another occasion we arranged for an urgent referral to the vascular team at the hospital. The consultant later commented that if this had been a day later, the patient may have lost their foot.
Another patient visited their GP with an ingrown toenail which had become infected. The GP referred them to us rather than prescribing antibiotics. We were able to successfully treat the problem in one appointment without the need for antibiotics. The patient was delighted with the overall care received between their NHS GP and TheFootNurse.
